WINTER SCHOOL INNOVEC

Micro-technologies for the vectorization of drugs

Conferences : 5-6 Feb 2024

Workshops : 7-9 Feb 2024

Invitation

InnoVec is pleased to invite you to the 2024 Winter School.

Advances in micro-technologies offer opportunities to evolve vectorization strategies in an interdisciplinary approach. The 2024 ITI InnoVec Winter School will bring together experts who develop micro-technologies for the vectorization and evaluation of biotherapies.

Program (conferences and workshops in english) :

Conferences from February 5 to 6, 2024:

  • Plenary sessions - invited experts.
  • Presentations by students, teachers, researchers and industrialists on projects at the interface between engineering     and therapeutic applications.
  • Poster communications (on selection) with prize giving. Submit abstract in My submissions, left menu.

Workshops from February 7 to 9, 2024:

  • Introduction to the Python programming language.
  • Mathematical modeling of biosystems and systems biology.

The workshops that complement the lectures are open to all students. The number of attendees is limited.

Workshop - Biosystem Modeling

The 3-days workshop aims at giving the participant a first insight towards the mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of biological systems, and generally speaking multidisciplinary systems at the interface between system biology and engineering sciences. The first three half-days are devoted to an introduction to Python programming languages and its most useful module in physics or biology, an introduction to the mathematical concepts behind mathematical modeling for biological systems and a presentation of some tools that can be used for that purpose. Then participating student will work on a project within mixed teams. Th egoeal of the project is to simulate a biological system inside a controller composed of optical sensors, pumps and microfluidic devices.
