Workshop - Biosystem Modeling
The 3-days workshop aims at giving the participant a first insight towards the mathematical modeling and numerical simulation of biological systems, and generally speaking multidisciplinary systems at the interface between system biology and engineering sciences. The first three half-days are devoted to an introduction to Python programming languages and its most useful module in physics or biology, an introduction to the mathematical concepts behind mathematical modeling for biological systems and a presentation of some tools that can be used for that purpose. Then participating student will work on a project within mixed teams. Th egoeal of the project is to simulate a biological system inside a controller composed of optical sensors, pumps and microfluidic devices.
